We got a Pup.

We are animal people.

My dream pet would be a pot bellied pig.
One that I could train to live in the house.

And then I wake up and see that I have three kids, and remember I like a clean house.

And a pig would be just that.  A pig. 

So we got a dog.
We already had a cat.  And we enjoy the cat. 

Some of friends told us they wanted to get rid of their dog.  They live in town and didn’t have time for her anymore.  They knew she would love country life.  So they brought her to us on Wednesday.

And they were right, Ellie loves the country life.  She loves to go out and just run. 

 

Randomness

Hey there.. we are surviving the move.  I need to finish a bit at the town house and we will be ready to close on it.  Unfortunately, it won’t be today  like we thought but really what else is new right? 
I just thought I’d show you some of the things I’ve captured on my camera the last few days.
We had a picnic on the lawn for lunch.

We had to check on the kittens.  They so badly want out of the barrel they are in, but I don’t know if their mama can get them out.  We might need to help her. 

These guys got out of their barrel and are in the hay.  We can’t reach them anymore.

How about a rooster.

We love being outside before we even get dressed. 

McKinley had her first dance performance.
I need to get over and update you on the house.  For now, I’m off to enjoy the weekend. 

Kittens

Who loves kittens? 

We do.  Especially when they are so new!

My dad told me that their were 8 or 9 kittens born and in a barrel in the barn.  So the kids and I went over Saturday to check on them.  Right away we found the barrel, but only 5 kittens.

We snuggled on them.  We loved on them.

This one is my favorite. 
So, after constant bothering, we went back Sunday to check again.  That is when we found out, we were looking in the wrong barrel.  There was another barrel.  And that is where the 8 original kittens were.

So that makes THIRTEEN kittens!  Yay! 

While we snuggled babies, these big cats enjoyed supper.  And watched us carefully – they aren’t very friendly.
